Opening with Love Song The Damned set the place alight. A some-what'Bono-esque' Dave Vainian ran move about the stage like a young TomJones. The Captain was as orginal as ever... but we didn't really haveto see his willie did we? And where did that Bass player come from... she never used to be in it did she? (Patricia Morrison, ex-Sisters of Mercy -Soggo)
Smash It Up was of course fantastic.... and I Just Can't Be HappyToday coagulated in to the anthem for our doomed youth that we expect.
The crowd was a bizarre mixture.... all ten of Western Australia's punkcommunity turned out. A few oldies graced us with their presence and afew Generation 'Xers' attempted to do some stage diving but werepromptly beaten up by the very large Maori Bouncers.
