Gig Info No.8

Okay finally I can confirm the Damned Gig on the 10th Feb. 96. Following a conversation over the phone with the promoter and Dave Vanian's manager on the 9th Jan 96. I can tell you that the gig is definitely on (after an uncertain future), however the Bath date as advertised in the music press has been changed (for capacity reasons only) to Birmingham, the full details follow:-

The Damned will be headlining the "Smash It Up" all dayer which starts at 2pm and will be playing all your faves like Dozen Girls, Smashi It Up, New Rose, Neat Neat Neat Etc.The Damned are due to take stage at 12pm and set to finish around 2am. Other bands will include Sham 69, The Anti-Nowhere League, The Meteors, GBH, Peter & The Test Tube Babies, John Cooper Clarke, Demented Are Go, Chaos UK, English Dogs, Lost Souls.

Take Note:- Due to Rat Scabies's legal action the Damned will have to be billed as "The EX-DAMNED"! But the line up will include Dave Vanian, Captain Sensible, Paul Gray & Ray's Babies! (alias Garrie Dreadful, hee hee!)

If this festival is successful then another 2 will be on the cards this year as well as a Damned tour!
